Fairfield House and several neighbours in part of Fambridge Road were without electricity for approaching 20 hours, due to a faulty cable under the pathway immediately outside Fairfield House car park. Power Networks UK quickly identified the fault in the evening and were on site early the next day. Not only did they have a workforce repairing the underground cable, but another team spent several hours connecting each individual flat by what seemed to be ‘miles’ of cables, to a generator they also provided by way of a backup. We are grateful to Power Networks UK not only for quickly fixing the problem, but for ensuring our residents would not have been without power for another night, should the repair not be successful on the day.
